to interviews. Would you please advise me what I'm doing
wrong, maybe just tidy my cv up a bit? |

Sorry, no - our experience is that a "tidy up"
won't do it for you. If you are serious about getting
to interviews, and getting the job, you must commit to
complete preparation. The cv needs to be done properly.
You need to make an investment in both time and money.
It’s likely it will work out to less than half the
amount you expect to be paid for one week's work. |

I want to put my cv on a high quality
patterned colored paper, I want to use a "different"
font, and I want a color photo scanned in to it. OK?? |

Actually, that's not what we advise. Chances are your
cv is going to be scanned into a computer. Professional
cv readers couldn't care less about expensive paper (because
they are going to shred it anyway) and fancy fonts often
don't scan well. A cv is a Marketing Document. It needs
to be very easy to read, very clear and clean. A photo
may be fine if you are looking for a "glamour"
job (or sometimes for an overseas posting where ID is
required), but there is always a risk that your photo
will accidentally convey an impression quite different
to what you would prefer. |

If you are available for personal interviews then yes,
we can. We start with the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator®
to get a clear fix on your vocational aptitude and "best
job fit". Then if it is appropriate we may recommend
you meet with our very experienced and highly qualified
in-house psychologist, who specializes in solving confidence
and motivational problems, and in advanced career choice
techniques. |

What should I say? |

There are no "correct" answers to interview
questions. Our Communication Skills booklet provides advice
and guidelines on the interview process, and coupled with
our Personality Snapshot can help you formulate answers
that are right for you and your potential employer. Nearly
all our curriculum vitae (cv) and career
packages include these resources, or they can be purchased
separately as itemized career
resources. We also offer coaching sessions for those
able to personally attend our offices. |

Can you write a cv that will get me
the job? |

No cv will "get you the job". If it gets
you to the interview it has probably completed most of
it's allotted task – then it's over to you to show
how you will add value to the enterprise, and therefore
be the best choice for the employer. We give you the “tools”
to ensure you have the best possible chance of getting
your cv read, getting an interview, and achieving a successful
outcome to that interview. |
